As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing film education in Egypt and the region, ESLSCA University’s Department of Cinematic Studies is proud to announce its new Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Filmmaking, marking an exciting new chapter in the university’s cinematic ambitions.

The MFA offers four specialized pathways: Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, and Producing, combining rigorous artistic development with hands-on filmmaking, critical inquiry, and practical industry experience.

Designed to bridge the gap between academic education and professional filmmaking, the programme provides aspiring filmmakers with an opportunity to refine their craft, develop their individual artistic voices, and engage with cinema as both a creative practice and a powerful form of cultural expression.

Through a curriculum that integrates theoretical exploration with practical application, students will be encouraged to experiment with cinematic form, challenge conventional approaches to storytelling, and develop original projects from conception to completion.
