A new chapter for the School of Visual Arts & Creative Industries, led by Dr. Mervat Abou Oaf, Dean of the School at ESLSCA University, as it continues to bring academia and industry closer together and create an environment where emerging creative talent can learn, connect, and grow.

The School’s inaugural Advisory Board Meeting marked an important step in this direction, creating a space where leading figures from Egypt’s film, media, cultural, and academic sectors could come together to exchange ideas and contribute their professional perspectives.

The Advisory Board includes Dr. Nivien El Kilany, Former Minister of Culture of Egypt; Hussein Fahmy, Actor; Yousra, Actress; Amina Khalil, Actress; Kareem El Shenawy, Director; Dr. Samy Tayie, Professor of Public Relations & Advertising; Mona El Shazly, Television Host; Rami Radwan, Television Host; and Sherif Amer, Television Host.

Together with Dr. Ali El Meligui, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr.Ahlam Younis the chair of the Cinematic Studies department Ms. Reem El Miligui, Associate Chair of the Cinematic Studies Department; Dr. Amira Abdelhamid, Chair of the New Media & Communication Department; and Wael Khairy, Director of the MFA in Filmmaking Program, the meeting opened discussions around the future of cinematic and media education and the evolving needs of the creative industries.

From strengthening industry exposure and professional development to exploring new academic directions and opportunities for emerging talent, the discussions reflected a shared ambition to prepare students for a creative landscape that continues to evolve.

Another step forward for the School of Visual Arts & Creative Industries as it continues to connect education with the people, ideas, and industries shaping the future of creativity.
